Acceptance
By downloading or using MonKey ("the Software"), developed and published by MonKey ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these terms. MonKey is operated as a sole proprietorship.
License
MonKey is proprietary software owned by MonKey. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on your personal devices.
Description of Service
MonKey is a macOS utility providing:
- Keyboard layout autocorrection — detects and fixes text typed in the wrong keyboard layout
- Translation — translates selected text between languages (on-device for free, cloud AI for premium)
- Grammar & style checking — identifies errors in selected text (local spellcheck for free, LanguageTool for premium)
- AI Wizard — runs custom AI-powered actions on selected text (premium only)
Free Tier
The free version is provided at no cost with core features (layout correction, on-device translation, basic grammar check). It may be used for personal and commercial purposes. No account is required.
Premium Subscription
- Premium features (AI translation, advanced grammar, AI Wizard) require an active subscription
- Pricing: $4.99/month or $39.99/year
- Subscriptions are billed through Paddle and renew automatically
- You may cancel at any time from your Paddle account

AI-Generated Content
Premium features use third-party AI services (OpenAI, LanguageTool) to process your text. AI-generated translations, corrections, and wizard outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting any changes before use.
Accessibility Permission
MonKey requires macOS Accessibility permission to monitor keyboard input, detect layout mismatches, and replace text in applications. This permission is used solely for the app's core functionality and is not used to collect or transmit personal data.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the application
- Use the premium API proxy for purposes other than MonKey's intended features
- Share, transfer, or resell your subscription license

MonKey is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this software, including but not limited to incorrect text corrections, mistranslations, or unintended text replacements.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website.
